Direct acting relief valves
Pressure relief valves are an essential part of a hydraulic system to ensure that the components of the system operate correctly and remain efficient over time. The M20C valve has the task of protecting the system from excessive working pressures, preventing breakage or malfunction.
The M20C is a direct-acting cartridge valve. A poppet positioned inside the cartridge opens the oil passage when the system pressure reaches the set value. The opening pressure of the valve can be set by means of the adjustment screw.
Different adjustment ranges are available for opening pressures up to 350 bar.
The maximum working pressure for the M20 valve is 350 bar, and it is recommended for use with flow rates up to 20 l/min.
M20C pressure relief valves can be installed inside 2-way cavities sized according to SAE08 standard (3/4-16 UNF thread).
The external components are made of high strength steel and are protected against corrosion by a zinc treatment. For applications exposed to particularly aggressive corrosive agents (e.g. marine applications) a zinc-nickel surface treatment is available.
The M20C valve setting can be protected against tampering by applying a plastic cap the cartridge.
It is also possible to request the valve with opening pressures different from the standard (0.5 bar), for example 3-4.5-6 bar.
