These security valves are used to ensure that the system does not exceed a set pressure, as exceeding it would probably cause the system to break down.
With an M20-B maximum pressure relief valve used to limit the pressure when the set value is exceeded, the valve opens and sends the oil to the tank to drain, the valve closes then when the pressure into the system decreases below the setting.
The external body is made of high-resistance steel and is protected from oxidation by a zinc treatment.
It is possible to request a surface treatment in zinc/nickel to increase the resistance to oxidation, in case the valve is poorly protected and exposed to atmospheric agents.
